Akira walked out of the main building and looked up at the sky. The moon was already up and high in the sky. He checked his watch. It was about 1:34AM. He then walked down the courtyard and jumped on a small wall, into the forest. He walked on untill he reached a metal plate on the floor that looked like that of the water company. He opened it and jumped in, and looked around for a switch. He turned a valve and a few pipes moved aside, showing and entrance. As he walked in, the pipes returned to their original state behind him. He walked over a small metal bridge where the floor below wasnt visible of. As he reached the wall at the other side, he took the right ladder of 2 ladders to the bottom of the floor. When he reached the bottom he turned a switch, and the light went on. A huge room was now visible. The walls were made of metal while the ground was concrete. In the room, there were 2 huge metal exo-skeletons who looked a bit like humans, but way bigger. One was black with a bit red in it while the other was black with a bit blue. He walked to the black one with red and used and elevator to get to the Head of the machine. On the sholders there was a girl sitting down and smiled at him. Akira looked at her and said. "Hello Eureka, shouldnt you be asleep?" The girls shook her head and the machine's head opened up as the girl walked in and sat in a seat there.

The of the other machine started shining as Mitsukai sat on the hand of the black and blue one. "Hello brother. Why are you here so late in the night. Going to work on Erebus* again?" She smiled as she walked down the arm, that was streched out, to the sholder and then the head of the machine. She jumped in the head of the machine, that was open too, and started so write stuff as she was typing on a keyboard. "You know, my left arm responded slowly today. It was hard to move it up and down. I think I'm going to drop the weight on that sholder." She said as she kept writing. "I woudnt want to lose and let Nyx** get taken by the military."

*Erebus= The first human controled LFO made in the world. A black and red LFO*** named after the god of chaos. Owned by Akira Shakaku.
**Nyx= The second human controled LFO made in the world. A black and blue LFO named after the goddess of the night. Owned by Mitsukai Gogyou.
***L.F.O.= Short for "Light Finding Operation". LFOs are bio-mechanical hybrids: armor and control systems are built upon an organic humanoid "skeletons" and are most of the time inbetween 10 meters to 30 meters. LFO isnt known to the world yet, except to some military organisations.

"It would be terrible is they fell in the hands of the army. Who knows what they might use it for. Not that they can control them." He laughed a bit as Eureka started to do the same as Mitsukai. He smiled and then turned his head to the entrance of the room and smiled. " Eureka, seal the doorway." A metal plate all of the sudden sealed the room down as Akira jumped down and landed infront of Inza. "Hello. Can I help you?"

Akira smiled. "Now now, There is no reason to be so impolite. All will be clear in due time. I'm Akira. I'm in the same class as you, Inza." He walked next to her. "The exo-skeletons are Erebus and Nyx. I pilot the Erebus and my sister pilots the Nyx." Eureka looked at the girl and went down the LFO using a rope. "This is Eureka, she helps me with updating Erebus and Nyx." Eureka smiled and waved at Inza, then went to a bigger computer to input some data. "Now you have to options. Or you walk out this room now and try to forget everything you saw, beeing under constant surveilance. Or you stay her, and help us out as much as you can. Your choise." He smiled and walked to Eureka, helping her a bit.

Akira turned his head to her and smiled. "Great." He picked up a device and walked to Inza. The device had a screen and 8 buttons, 4 at each side. Akira was carrying one on his right wrist and Eureka on her right leg. He handed it to Inza and smiled. "I was in need of new pilots anyway." He took his device from his wrist and showed it to her. "This is your CPU. Its like a PDA of you LFO." He pushed a button and Erebus started to move, streching his arms and opening his hands. "You can controle you LFO with it, but its limited to easy movements. The right button at the top is to call your LFO to you. It can locate you anywhere, but if your in a building, it land next to it." He pushed the right top button of Inza's CPU and from a metal plate that moved aside, a white LFO walked out and stopped next to Inza. "Got all that?"

He laughed. "You learn quickly." He smiled as he walked to Erebus and climbed in with a rope. He stepped on the sholder as he saw that the update of his LFO was complete. "Ill tell all about them in training." He said as he disappeared in his LFO. The head of Erebus closed as inside, Akira pulled on a special kind of outfit. He then connected cables to plug ins on the suit. On the CPU of Inza Akira's face appeared. "Go in your LFO and pull on the suit, then connect the cables. Your LFO then will respond to every movement you make. Ill explain everything on a test run. Trust me." The screen closed again as Erebus started moving, first slowly, then faster.

Inside her LFO, a screen opened all of the sudden. On the screen, the name Hemera was written. Then a few more screens popped up with all sorts of data. On the screen with Hemera on it, Akira appeared. "It seems like your ready so far. For a while, dont bother looking on the other screens, they are unimportant now. Just try and move your LFO around. For example, if you walk around in the controle room with everything plugged in, your LFO will respond to it by moving in the exact same way. For now, I'm controling all the systems except for the movement system, so you dont go press the wrong button and blow everything up. All other object will be projected in holograms around you, so move around without hitting anything."

Mitsukai looked at both the LFO ready to go. Her head then turned to Eureka. "Hey, Eureka. Is the data uploaded?" She yelled as Eureka nodded. Mitsukai grinned and crawled into the Nyx. She pulled on the suit too and connected the wires. In both the Hemera as the Erebus her face appeared on the screen. "Hello Erebus, Herema. Nyx is online." She smiled as she started to check the Nyx for any flaws in the data. "Herema, you must be the new pilot. I'm Mitsukai, the pilot of Nyx. Good to have you on board. If you need help with the weapons, ask me. Need help with data, ask Eureka. And if you need help with the rest of the Herema, ask Akira."

Akira smiled. "Good. Now I'm going to tell you something that you must never ever forget for as long as you are a pilot. That LFO is your life. The life of that LFO depends on you. The LFO is programmed with an A.I. that will listen to you. If you take risk that arent needed or that arent what Hemera was designed for, it will start disobeying you and create a will of its own. Thats probably the reason the army is behind them." The roof above their heads opened without a sound as a clear sky was visible. Erebus then took off and flew a bit in the sky, above the building and tree tops. "Herema might not obey you at first, but it will start to trust you in time, as soon as you become friends with it."
